Space shuttle Discovery docked with the orbiting outpost Sunday afternoon, bringing up the new crew: U.S. commander Frank Culbertson and Russian flight engineers Vladimir Dezhurov and MikhailTyurin.
To help Culbertson and his two Russian crewmates, Vladimir Dezhurov and MikhailTyurin, get familiar with their new job site, NASA scheduled time for the new crew to talk to the departing crew.
Earlier Thursday, new Alpha commander Frank Culbertson and Russian flight engineers Vladimir Dezhurov and MikhailTyurin beamed down a message marking the one-thousandth day in space for the first component of the space station, the Russian-built Zarya module.
